Weekend Wish

This weekend I'm wishing for these studded Valentino flats

They strike the perfect balance between feminine and edgy. Also, they would be great for dressing up a look without the hassle of heels. These shoes are available from Neiman Marcus at £578.13. They would look perfect paired with mid wash skinny jeans, a nude top and oversized bag with sunglasses or a knitted dress for early autumn days or probably just about anything.

Here is an equally great pair at a more reasonable price from Zara. They are the same style, but instead of large studs dotted along the t bar and straps, the studs in this pair are scattered all over the shoe.
Whilst the Valentino pair are more minimal the Zara shoes offer more embellishment and detail at a fraction of the price.

Here's how Tiffy would wear these shoes
Knitted pattern dress - river island- £40

Studded flats-
Zara-£59.99
Valentino- Leiman Marcus -£578.13

P.s What are your thoughts? Which pair stands out the most to you?

Weekend wish

Every Weekend

This weekend I would love this black Mulberry satchel. It would perfectly finish off any casual outfit and is a timeless wardrobe item that will never go out of style. But, it's a bit expensive -£895, so a more affordable alternative is this high street version from River Island that costs a fraction of the price.

Both of these bags would be perfect for pairing with almost any casual autumn outfit, have a look at how Tiffy would wear it.

Trending now - tactile textures

Feel the fabric

One of the top trends for autumn 2013 is luxurious textures.  From metallics to fur, touchable textiles were the focus point of every AW'13 collection. Take a fashion forward approach to this seasons key trend by stepping out in high-shine metallics and smooth leather or snuggle into fuzzy textures, like fur, cashmere, velvet, tweed and bouclé.

For a look that oozes with style combine smooth and fuzzy textures together. Pair leather pants with a fluffy jumper and fur scarf, wear a bouclé jacket with an oversized jumper dress or a tweed skirt with a soft t-shirt. For a dressed up look a velvet dress can be paired with a sleek leather jacket.

The great thing about this look is that it's really simple to do. Detailing is everything, finishing your look, wearing shiny metallic flats or throwing on a thick, textured coat are all easy ways to follow this trend whilst keeping warm during the autumn and winter months.

Leather pants - 3 ways to wear

Leather will never go out of style and it was all over the AW'13 runways. One of the main leather staples were leather pants are trending this season. Whether baggy or tight, leather pants are a great alternative to jeans or printed trousers. Personally, I prefer skinny leather pants, I think they are a lot easier to wear and more flattering for the most of us. Leather pants can be very versatile and when paired with the right things, can look good on any occasion.

Here are my favourites from the high street
1-Zara
  £349.00

2-River Island
   £35.00

3-Zara
   £29.99

4-Topshop
   £32.00

5-River Island
   £35.00

I like this pair from Topshop best. They feature a seam detail and zips around the ankles.
This is how Tiffy would wear these leather look pants...

Tiffy wears

Look 1- Casual

The jumper Tiffy wears for this look features three colour. The white, red and black combined give the look a sporty edge. Also, the black and white colour block ankle boots compliment the colouring of the jumper well and the flat heel makes the outfit more relaxed and casual.

The simple white t shirt paired against the black leather pants makes the outfit feel smart, the grey oversized coat adds comfort and ties the colours together. Also, the colour metallic silver shoes and pointed toe help the outfit look more dressed up.

Trending now - autumn coats

The warm summer days are almost over and autumn is fast approaching, and with that comes a brand new fashion season. One of the advantages of autumn's cold weather means you have the perfect excuse to buy a new coat. Having the perfect autumn coat has the ability to transform your look and bring your outfit right up to date.

Trending now
there are two options to choose from when picking your new autumn coat:

Trend 1- this is the more feminine and softer approach to autumn outerwear. Coats are crafted of soft, fuzzy textures like fur, wool and even leather, in neutral girlish hues- think baby pink, camel, cream, beige and hints of grey. This is the more prim and polished look that oozes with femininity and ladylikeness.

                                                                                         J. Crew

       Monique Lhuillier

On the high street

1-Zara- short woollen overcoat -£79.99
2-Asos -textured oversized coat-£28.50 (was £95-sale item)
3-topshop- oversized biker jacket-£60
4- river island- waterfall jacket-£60
5-
topshop-zip fur coat -£10 (was £110-out of stock)

Trend 2- this autumn outerwear option consists of coats with more masculine, lengthy cuts with classic prints such as plaid, checks, houndstooth and tartan in rusty, earthy shades. Flashes of monochrome can also be seen throughout this trend which give this look an instant modern update. Coats are made of tweed, bouclé and wool and are adorned with sleek leather and fur trims.

           Carolina Herrera

                                                                                                      Victoria Beckham

         Tommy Hilfiger

                                                                                               Tanya Taylor

Tommy Hilfiger

On the high street

1-Zara-checked wool coat -£89.99
2-Zara -hooded wool coat-£79.99
3-French connection -Penelope pop checked coat-£185
4-Zara-houndstooth coat-£109
5-topshop-check boyfriend throw in coat-£75
6- Asos -wool and tweed mix parka jacket-£56(sale item)

No matter which trend you choose to follow this autumn one thing remains the same throughout when it comes to outerwear. Whether feminine or, both trends consist of coats made of fuzzy, tactile fabrics with oversized, billowy structures.

Remember, when purchasing your new autumn coat it's ok to spend a little more than you would for another item of clothing, as you will probably be wearing this quite a lot. Also, to make this a good investment choose something you really like and make sure it coordinates well with most of your autumn clothes. Try and choose a coat that not only looks good but feels comfortable and is practical.

p.s. what do you prefer, the classic printed, striped, checked and wool coat trend or the girly, sleek, fuss-free option?
